Directions:
From Highway 395 drive to Lone Pine. Turn west onto Whitney Portal Road near the Ranger Station. As you approach the base of the mountain you will make a left towards Horseshoe Meadow. General Notes and Observations:
Mount Whitney Zone permits are required, even if you are not camping in the zone.
The cross country section from Sky Blue Lake to Crabtree Pass is class 2. |
